Things to Know About Hard Rubbish Collection in Marsden Park When Making Room

In Marsden Park, the local council has laid out specific requirements for hard rubbish collection to make the process smooth and efficient for residents. First, it’s essential to book a collection in advance, as the council only offers this service on designated dates throughout the year. Each household is generally allowed to schedule a couple of collections per year, so plan accordingly. When it comes to what can be put out, the council accepts a range of bulky items like old furniture, white goods, mattresses, and similar household objects. However, it’s crucial to check for any restrictions, as items like hazardous waste, construction debris, and e-waste usually have special disposal requirements.

On the day set for collection, make sure your items are placed neatly on the nature strip outside your home, not blocking driveways or pedestrian pathways. They should be put out the evening before the collection date to avoid missing the pick-up. Also, consider the size limits; large items may need to be disassembled to fit the council’s guidelines. For more detailed information or to book a collection, you can refer to the council’s official website or contact their waste management services directly. Following these simple steps will help ensure that your hard rubbish is collected efficiently, keeping Marsden Park clean and clutter-free.
